Applications for the 2020-21 Local Government Leadership Academy of Alameda County are currently being accepted.


Instructions to Apply On-Line:

1. Applicant must discuss this professional development opportunity with his/her supervisor and receive both supervisor and Chief Executive Approval. 

2. Employee must complete the application that includes three (3) essay questions. 
  • Describe your career goals and what you have done to further them
  • Describe your skills and competencies.
  • What would you like to learn by participating in the Leadership Academy and what will be of value to you and your agency?
3. Employee agrees to the "Applicant Commitment".

    Coaches

    Please answer the following questions regarding coach preferences. Your answers will be considered during the coach and participant pairings, but is not a guarantee. Coaches and participants are matched at the discretion of each participant's agency. 
    Please upload a PDF document which includes your resume as well as a response to the following questions. Please keep your responses to no more than two pages total. 
    1. Describe your career goals and what you have done to further them. 
    2. Describe your skills and competencies. 
    3. What would you like to learn by participating in the Leadership Academy and what will be of value to you and your agency?

    Applicant Commitment
    By submitting your application you agree that you have read the Leadership Academy program description, agree to attend all monthly sessions, commit to 2-4 hours of additional work per week and to fully participate in the program.
